Finance Lead

We are looking for a Finance Lead to join our team. The Finance Lead owns the company's full finance operations function: treasury and cash management, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), budgeting and forecasting, and day-to-day financial operations. This is a hands-on operational role with strategic input, not a narrow fundraising-support function.
What will you do:
Own treasury and cash management: banking relationships, cash positioning, payment approvals, and working capital management.
Lead financial planning & analysis (FP&A): annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and scenario/financial modeling.
Build and maintain management reporting: monthly/quarterly financial reports
Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes in coordination with the Accounting Lead to ensure healthy cash flow and runway.
Design and continuously improve financial policies, SOPs, approval matrices, and internal controls appropriate to company size and stage.
Support audit and fundraising activities when they occur — financial model, data room, and investor due diligence — as a secondary responsibility.
Partner closely with the Accounting Lead to ensure financial data accuracy flows correctly into planning and reporting.
What we are looking for:
Minimum 2–3 years in a startup or fast-growing company, having independently built or run a finance function (not solely as part of a large, established finance team).
Preferred prior experience setting up finance operations/infrastructure from scratch at an early-stage company.
Demonstrable hands-on experience in cash flow management, budgeting/forecasting, and financial modeling (Excel/Google Sheets: 3-statement modeling, scenario analysis).
Proven track record of delivering under tight, recurring deadlines (e.g., monthly closing, cash runway monitoring, ad-hoc leadership requests).
Exposure to fundraising processes (financial model, data room, cap table), even if not the primary past role will be a plus.
Willing to work hybrid/remote with flexible hours, with availability for real-time coordination during core business hours, month-end close, and reporting cycles.
