Finance Accounting Tax Associate
We are looking for a skilled Finance Accounting Tax (FAT) Associate to join our dynamic team. As a FAT Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of the company’s financial statements and tax filings. This position is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and supporting the finance team in managing the company’s tax obligations. The FAT Associate will work closely with various departments to ensure financial integrity and compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
What will you do:
Assist in the preparation submissions and evidence required.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation.
Prepare journal entries and perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
Prepare and submit daily Report to Bappebti on the web and email bappebti every day before 2pm
Prepare and submit Report monthly transaction recapitulation report to bappebti before the 5th of the following month (routine check of daily recapitulation in the month).
Bappebti Quarterly Report.
Preparation and analysis for Stock Client related audits.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial and tax planning initiatives.
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities as needed.
Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting and tax functions.
Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards, tax laws, and financial technologies.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and controls related to financial accounting and tax.
Participate in risk assessments and contribute to the development of risk mitigation strategies.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Relevant work experience, such as internships or entry-level positions in financial accounting, auditing, or tax compliance.
In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Advanced skills in Excel for financial analysis, modeling, and reporting; proficiency in Word and PowerPoint for documentation and presentations.
Familiarity with tax preparation software is a plus.
Up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, with the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure compliance.
Proven ability to prepare, analyze, and present financial statements and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively explain financial data and tax concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously, especially during peak tax periods.
Strong problem-solving abilities to assess complex financial information and provide actionable insights.
Meticulous approach to financial data, ensuring precision in accounting records, financial statements, and tax filings.
Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards in financial reporting and tax practices.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with strong collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
